Blues Traveler keeps working the road
Blues Traveler continues to support last year's "Bastardos!" with an ongoing tour schedule that now stretches into the fall.
The group's in-progress trek runs non-stop through the end of August--including a performance at the Aug. 6 Lollapalooza festival in Chicago--and a handful of October and November dates are also on tap. Details are included below.
"Bastardos!," Blues Traveler's eighth studio set, hit stores last September. The disc is the group's first new collection since 2003's "Truth Be Told."
"This is just us being completely ourselves, and not thinking about what we should be doing," guitarist Chan Kinchla said of "Bastardos!" in a press release. "Before we made this record, we decided, 'Let's just make records that we love and regardless of how they do commercially, at least we love 'em and they're all ours."
Blues Traveler's most commercially successful album to date is 1994's "Four," which spawned the hit single "Run-Around." The album is certified multi-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for US shipment of 6 million copies.
