Kellie Pickler is the latest finalist from this season's edition of the Fox-TV talent show "American Idol" to sign a major-label recording deal.
Pickler has inked with 19 Recordings/BNA Records--part of the Sony/BMG group--and her debut album is due in stores Nov. 14, according to a press release.
"I've always dreamed of getting a record deal so now my dream has come true," Pickler said in a statement. "I'm really excited about making my first album and giving something back to the fans who supported me on 'American Idol.'"
The 20-year-old singer plans to record the album between stops on this year's American Idols Live tour, and the label hopes to ship her first single to country radio in September.
