Briefly: Beanie Sigel, Tim McGraw & Faith Hill, Pharrell Williams, Howie Day

Rapper Beanie Sigel reportedly was shot during an attempted robbery in his hometown of Philadelphia Thursday morning (5/25), and suffered minor injuries.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Sigel drove himself to the hospital, where he was treated for at least one gunshot wound in his upper right arm before he was released.

Sigel, 32, reportedly told police his vehicle was boxed in by two cars before a group of five men held him up, then shot him.

According to event publicists, it took just 30 minutes for fans to snap up 17,000 of the tickets for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's New Orleans hurricane relief concert, set for July 5 at New Orleans Arena.

An online auction is currently underway for various "Soul2Soul Fan Experience" packages, with the proceeds to benefit hurricane relief efforts through McGraw and Hill's new charity, the Neighbor's Keeper Foundation. Information about the auctions is available at the foundation's website.

Acclaimed producer Pharrell Williams will release a new album, "In My Mind," on July 25. The set will include appearances by Jay-Z, Daddy Yankee, Gwen Stefani and others.

The first single is "Number One," which Pharrell co-produced with fellow super-producer Kanye West. The video to the track will premiere on BET's "Access Granted" on May 31.

Howie Day is about to head into the studio to begin recording his third studio album, according to Epic Records. Day hasn't released a new studio set since 2003's "Stop All the World Now."
