Train's tour tracks stretch into summer
Currently on the road behind their latest album, "For Me, It's You," pop-rock hit-makers Train have unveiled a lengthy summer tour itinerary.
After wrapping up its spring trek at the end of this month, the group will return to the road in late June, and will work its way around the country through at least mid-September. Details are shown below.
The schedule includes a July 14 performance in New York City's Bryant Park as part of ABC's "Good Morning America" concert series, which will air live on the program.
"For Me, It's You," which hit stores in January, is Train's fifth studio album, and first since 2003's "My Private Nation." The group recorded the new disc in Atlanta during a seven-week period last year with producer Brendan O'Brien (Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam) at the controls.
O'Brien has worked with Train before, on both "My Private Nation" and 2001's "Drops of Jupiter."
"For Me, It's You" features the band's new lineup, shuffled a bit since "My Private Nation." Bassist Johnny Colt replaces Charlie Colin, and keyboardist Brandon Bush was brought in to augment the band's sound.
"Cab," the latest single from "For Me, It's You," sits at No. 19 on Billboard's latest Adult Contemporary chart.
"Give Myself to You" is the next single in the pipeline. The group was scheduled to shoot a video for the cut last month, according to its website.
