Matisyahu takes "Festival of Light" along East Coast
Reggae rocker Matisyahu is preparing to embark on a predominately East Coast run that will be his fifth annual "Festival of Light" tour.
The Pennsylvania native, born Matthew Paul Miller, will first take on a trio of shows -- Nov. 2 in Orlando, FL, Nov. 13 in Los Angeles and Nov. 17 in Raleigh, NC -- before kicking off the "Festival of Light" trek with a two-night stand Nov. 29-30 in Brooklyn. The outing continues along the East Coast through a Dec. 18 performance in Boca Raton, FL. The full schedule is shown at right.
Fans can purchase tickets now via Matisyahu's website.
Matisyahu has released two studio sets since his 2004 debut entitled "Shake Off the Dust...Arise," the most recent of which ("Light") surfaced in the summer of 2009. The 13-track album held the top spot on Billboard's Reggae Albums chart for 34 weeks.
Earlier this month, the performer celebrated the four-year anniversary of "Shake Off the Dust ... Arise" with a reissue of the debut set, which contains the original arrangements of "Chop'em Down," "Warrior" and "King Without A Crown," among others.
