The 24th installment of Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit took place over a fairly wet NorCal weekend (10/23-24), but crowds decked out in plastic ponchos and raincoats of all colors still turned up in droves.
Since 1988 -- all but the first two years -- the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA, has hosted the event to benefit the Bridge School in Hillsborough, CA, which serves severely speech-impaired children in the San Francisco Bay Area. The lineup has become known for being something of a who's who, and this year was no exception. The bill included a Buffalo Springfield reunion, as well as Pearl Jam, Elvis Costello, and Elton John & Leon Russell, to name a few.
