B.B. King spends fall in theaters nationwide
B.B. King is on the road again, performing at casinos, theaters and festivals across the continent through early next year.
The 85-year-old bluesman will take to the stage Thursday (10/1) in Naples, FL, followed by another 25 performances through mid-January. The schedule, which is shown at right, includes two-night stands in Nashville (10/4-5), Coquitlam, British Columbia (11/5-6); Rama, Ontario (11/19-20); and Alexandria, VA (1/1-2).
The 14-time Grammy winner continues working the road behind "One Kind Favor," his 24th studio effort, which hit shelves in 2008. The T-Bone Burnett-produced set, which features covers of established blues songs, earned King his most recent Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album.
King is celebrating the 45th anniversary of "Live at the Regal," the 1965 album that was recorded live at Chicago's Regal Theater, as well as the 30th anniversary of Gibson's Lucille model guitar, created especially for him by the well-known guitar company.
