Shelby Lynne, Allison Moorer plot first tour together

Sisters Shelby Lynne and Allison Moorer will perform together on a short tour, a first for the two singers. Their first performance on the "Side By Side Tour" will be Oct. 3 at the 10th annual Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park.

During the all-acoustic shows, Lynne and Moorer will accompany one another as they perform songs from throughout their careers, along with a few cover songs. They close their quick tour with a show in Mobile, AL, near their hometown of Frankville.

Lynne's latest album is "Tears, Lies, and Alibis"; she has a holiday disc, "Merry Christmas," set for release on Oct. 12. Moorer's most recent disc is "Crows," which was released in the spring. It is her seventh album.
