Leonard Cohen to wrap up marathon tour, begin recording
Legendary singer/songwriter Leonard Cohen -- who launched his current tour in February of 2009 -- will wrap up the outing with four just-announced U.S. performances.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's newly confirmed dates are set for Dec. 4 in Honolulu; Dec. 8 in Portland, OR; and Dec. 10-11 in Las Vegas. Members of Cohen's fan club can purchase tickets through Sept. 24 via leonardcohenfiles.com, and public on-sales are set to begin Sept. 25.
Once the outing wraps, Cohen will have played 250 shows -- each typically clocking in at about three hours.
Cohen plans to return to the studio in 2011, "making these shows the final dates scheduled for some time," according to promoter AEG Live.
Cohen returned to the touring circuit for the first time in 15 years in 2008.
