"American Idol" to wrap up auditions in L.A.

The final stop on the " American Idol" audition tour will be in the Los Angeles area on Sept. 22.

Auditions for the 10th season of the Fox-TV singing competition will be held at the Forum in Inglewood, CA. Men and women between the ages of 15 and 28 years old as of July 17, 2010, are eligible to try out, though some restrictions apply.

"Idol" producers will begin handing out wristbands to auditioning singers beginning at 7 a.m. on Sept. 21. Tryouts begin very early: 5 a.m. on Sept. 22. There is no overnight camping permitted at the Forum.

"Idol" executive producer Ken Warwick issued a statement that read, "Los Angeles has always delivered great talent, and so we feel it only fitting that we end our 10th season audition tour here in our home city."
