English versions of Japenese pop-punk band Shonen Knife's latest album, "Free Time," and their debut set, "fun! fun! fun!," will be released prior to a month-long stateside tour that begins Sept. 8.

"Free Time," on Good Charamel Records, and a vinyl edition of "fun! fun! fun!" will be released Tuesday (8/31).

The female Japanese trio will also start selling their "Live At Mohawk Place" DVD via the Internet beginning Oct. 19. The DVD is currently available at indie record stores.

Shonen Knife formed 30 years ago, and became a cult favorite in the '90s after popular alt-rock acts like Sonic Youth and Nirvana began to tout the band in interviews and to invite the group on tours.
