Experience Hendrix Tour back for a new round of 2010 shows
For the first time in its history, the Experience Hendrix tour will make its way across the U.S. twice in one year and also hit cities in Canada.
Having already made a run in March, the Jimi Hendrix tribute shows featuring numerous guitar-playing all-stars will resume touring on Oct. 26 in Pittsburgh, PA. The tour will play 19 markets over the course of three weeks
Headlining will be Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Susan Tedeschi, Robert Randolph, Los Lobos' David Hidalgo and Cesar Rosas, Jonny Lang, Steve Vai with Living Colour, Eric Johnson, and Ernie Isley. Bassist Billy Cox, a member of Band of Gypsys who first met Hendrix while the two were in the Army, will anchor the band.
This fall's Experience Hendrix tour dates will be followed by a second wave of Hendrix releases through Sony Legacy, among them the anthology set "West Coast Seattle Boy."
