Aaron Neville will embark on a solo tour in September, release new album in October and spend the end of the year ringing in holiday cheer with a 17-show Christmas revue.

Neville' next album, "I Know I've Been Changed," was produced by Joe Henry, the producer who has guided efforts from veteran performers such as Mose Allison, Solomon Burke, Bettye LaVette and Ramblin Jack Elliott. It will be released on Oct. 26 on Neville's own label, Tell It Records.

Henry assembled an all-star band to back one of the New Orleans' greatest vocal treasures during the five days of sessions. Pianist Allen Toussaint, who produced Neville's first recording session in1960, appears on every track leading a band that includes Greg Leisz on dobro and Weissenborn, David Piltch on bass, and Jay Bellerose on drums. Besides their musical collaborations, Toussaint and Neville founded the charitable organization New Orleans Artists Against Hunger and Homelessness in 1985.

The album is a tribute to the spiritual songs that Neville loved as a youngster, among them "You Got To Move," "Stand By Me," "Don't Let The Devil Ride" and "Oh Freedom."

Neville starts his special holiday tour, "Christmas with Aaron Neville and his Quintet Featuring Charles Neville," on Nov. 30 in Minneapolis, MN. The final halls he will deck with song are at City Winery in New York on Dec. 21 and 22.
