The Posies, Brendan Benson team for fall tour

Indie-rock veterans the Posies, who are about to release their first album of new material in five years, and Detroit alt-rocker Brendan Benson -- best known for his work with the Raconteurs -- are set to launch a co-headlining tour Nov. 5 in Milwaukee.
Posies founders Jon Auer and Ken Stringfellow will also join Benson's set, contributing bass, guitar, keyboards and backing vocals.
The Posies' new set, "Blood/Candy" -- which features guest collaborations with Broken Social Scene, The Stranglers and Letters To Cleo -- is due in stores Sept. 28.
Benson's fourth solo album, "My Familiar Old Friend," hit stores about a year ago.
