Lifehouse sets out behind "Smoke & Mirrors"
Lifehouse will get behind the band's spring release, "Smoke & Mirrors," with a fall outing that crisscrosses the nation and hits a handful of international destinations.
The Los Angeles-based rockers will kick off the run Saturday (8/28) with a performance in Grand Island, NE. Several fair appearances are on the books for the first part of September, followed by a two weeks' worth of European shows, including a three-night stand at London's O2 Shepard's Bush Empire. The band will return to the States and hit the stage at another 25 venues before wrapping up the trek Nov. 24 in Portland, OR. The full schedule, including international dates, is shown at right.
Kris Allen, the winner of the eighth season of "American Idol," will provide opening support for the US dates.
Lifehouse dropped "Smoke & Mirrors," the group's fifth studio set, in March. The Geffen Records release debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200, making it the highest charting debut of the band's decade-long career. The 12-track album, which follows the 2007 release "Who We Are," features songs co-written by Chris Daughtry and Richard Marx, among others.

Lifehouse hit the big-time with their 2000 platinum-selling debut album, "No Name Face," and the chart-topping single "Hanging by a Moment." The outfit has sold more than five million albums throughout their career, according to their website.
