Papa Roach, Skillet plan U.S. "Annihilation"
Papa Roach will mix headlining gigs and festival appearances into their "Monsters of Annihilation" tour alongside Skillet this fall.
Following a two-week solo excursion that begins Sept. 10 in Nashville, Papa Roach will join forces with Skillet beginning with an Oct. 1 performance in Myrtle Beach, SC. The 10-date co-headlining jaunt, which wraps up Oct. 20 in Oklahoma City, is interspersed with Papa Roach-only shows at radio-sponsored festivals throughout the eastern U.S. Papa Roach's full schedule, including an end-of-the-year European leg, is listed at right.
Tickets for most stops on the "Monsters of Annihilation" run go on sale Saturday (8/28).
Papa Roach will unveil the group's first live album, "Time for Annihilation," next week (8/31). The 14-track set also features five new songs, including "Kick In the Teeth," which the outfit released in June. The new effort is currently streaming in its entirety via the band's website.
Christian hard rockers Skillet revealed "Awake," the group's eighth studio effort, last summer. The album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold earlier this year. The set was well represented at the 41st annual Dove Awards, receiving nominations for Rock Album of the Year as well as Short Form Video of the Year and Rock Recorded Song of the Year for "Hero."
