Miranda Lambert takes "Revolution" on CMT-sponsored run

Country songstress Miranda Lambert will fill the role of headlining act for this year's "CMT On Tour " as she continues to support last fall's "Revolution."
The singer, who is currently wrapping up a summer run, will perform a two-night set in Switzerland Sept. 10-11 before kicking off the North American leg Sept. 29 in New York City. Lambert is scheduled to appear at fairgrounds and arenas throughout the East and South before the tour's Dec. 8 conclusion in Rio Rancho, NM. The full itinerary is shown at right.
The nationwide outing will feature opening gigs by Eric Church and Josh Kelley on select dates.
"Having that Texas club circuit experience at an early age and also touring with some of the best in the business for several years, I know what it takes to bring it every night and give fans more than their money's worth," Lambert stated at her website.
Lambert released "Revolution," her third studio effort, last September. The award-winning set topped Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and peaked at No. 8 on The Billboard 200. Four of the album's tracks -- "Dead Flowers," White Liar," Only Prettier" and "The House That Built Me" -- have made it onto the magazine's Hot Country Songs chart.
In June, Lambert took home two trophies at the ninth annual CMT Music Awards: Female Video of the Year and Video of the Year, both for "White Liar." The performer also snagged Album of the Year for "Revolution" and Music Video of the Year for "White Liar" earlier this year at the 45th annual Academy of Country Music Awards.
