The 7th Annual New England Country Music Festival sold out Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA, on Saturday (8/21). Despite cool temperatures, the turnout was reported to be 51,000 people.
The event was headlined by 12-time Academy of Country Music Award winner Brad Paisley, who shared the bill with Jason Aldean, Darius Rucker and Sara Evans, to name a few. Tailgating was permitted in the parking lot prior to the show, so the party began early for some fans with coolers and barbecue grills. Local police and stadium security were on the lookout for underage drinkers and they found more than a few -- according to The Sun Chronicle, about 200 people were taken into custody for public intoxication.
