The Allman Brothers Band is now set to make its return to the stage a little earlier than expected.

The group, which was temporarily sidelined when Gregg Allman underwent a liver transplant in June, is now scheduled to play a Nov. 11 show in Philadelphia and a Nov. 13 show in Atlantic City, NJ. The band previously announced a three-night stand at Boston's Orpheum Theatre for Nov. 18-20.

Allman required the new liver due to a long battle with Hepatitis C. He was released from the hospital on July 2 and has been recovering since then.

"I'm ready," Allman said in a statement posted on his band's website. "I've been itching to play since I got the operation and am glad to be back. Can't thank everyone enough for their help and support."

According to the site, Allman spent time in the Jacksonville, FL, area after the surgery. He's since returned to his home in Georgia where he's been spending time with family and friends as he continues to recover.
