Soundgarden adds second leg to "King Animal" push
Seattle rockers Soundgarden have released a second round of U.S. dates as they continue drumming up support behind last fall's "King Animal."
The alt-rock outfit, helmed by Chris Cornell, will return to road with a May 3 performance in Atlantic City, NJ. The 18-city itinerary focuses on the eastern part of the nation and includes a two-night stand May 7-8 in Atlanta. The trek, which features a May 19 stop at Columbus, OH's Rock on the Range, wraps up May 28 in Broomfield, CO.

"King Animal," Soundgarden's sixth studio set, surfaced in November via Seven Four Entertainment/Republic Records. The collection, which peaked at No. 5 on The Billboard 200, marks the band's first collection of new material since 1996's platinum-selling "Down on the Upside."
