Green Day to perform intimate club dates, plus SXSW

Pop-punk outfit Green Day has added a trio of intimate theater shows ahead of a busy worldwide touring schedule in support of the recently released album "Tre!," the final set in the "Uno!, Dos!, Tre!" trilogy.
The Grammy-winning band, comprised of singer/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tre Cool, will perform March 10 in Pomona, CA; March 11 in Tempe, AZ; and March 13 in El Paso, TX. These three intimate dates precede a March 15 appearance at the 27th annual South by Southwest Music Conference, as well as a rescheduled arena trek that begins March 28 in Rosemont, IL.
An extensive European leg is also on the books, kicking off May 24 in Milan, Italy, and extending into mid-July.
Tickets for the trio of theater shows go on sale March 1. Ticketing information on the rest of the schedule is available at the band's website.
The Grammy-winning band unleashed "Tre!" in December, one month earlier than originally expected. The album completes the trilogy, which started with the late September release of "Uno!" and November's "Dos!"
While in Austin for SXSW, Green Day release their documentary film, "Cuatro!," which chronicles the conception and development of the album trilogy. The world premiere of "Broadway Idiot," the film behind the Broadway production of "American Idiot," will also take place during the film portion of the SXSW Conference. More information about those events is available at the SXSW website.
