Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Kings of Leon top Hangout Music Fest roster

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers and Kings of Leon have been tapped to headline the fourth annual Hangout Music Festival this spring, while the third headliner has yet to be revealed.

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers and Kings of Leon have been tapped to headline the fourth annual Hangout Music Festival this spring, while the third headliner has yet to be revealed.

The three-day festival will take over the beaches of Gulf Shores, AL, May 17-19. Five stages will be set up along the Gulf of Mexico, along with amusement games and rides, food vendors, Hammock Beach relaxation area and the Sky Bar tower, offering fans 360-degree views of the event.

Other outfits on the roster include Trey Anastasio Band, The Shins, Bassnectar, The Black Crowes, Kendrick Lamar, The Roots, Jim James and Ellie Goulding. More acts will be announced soon, according to a press release.

Three-day passes go on sale Friday (2/15) at the festival website, along with VIP, Super VIP and Big Kahuna passes. Single-day tickets will not be sold, nor will tickets be available at the gate.

The first round of early bird tickets sold out within five minutes of going on sale in December. Last year's festival sold out of general admission passes in less than two weeks.
