Kenny Chesney preps CD/DVD edition of "Hemingway's Whiskey"

Kenny Chesney's fans have had few opportunities to catch him on stage this year, but they'll soon have a chance to see him on their TV screens thanks to a newly announced, deluxe CD/DVD edition of his forthcoming album, "Hemingway's Whiskey."

The deluxe version will feature two bonus tracks -- "Ain't Ever Going Back Again" and "I Didn't Get Here Alone" -- as well as a 30-minute DVD featuring "an in-depth conversation with Chesney about each of the [album's] songs," according to a press release.

"We put two extra songs and conversation on the record because there are fans that have been a part of my life for a long time and really love our music and have really invested a lot emotionally," Chesney said in a statement. "You can call it 'going the extra mile' or whatever. I wanted to give them something special."

Like the standard version of the album, the deluxe edition of "Hemingway's Whiskey" is due in stores Sept. 28. The track listing is below.

Chesney has so far kept his promise to refrain from extensive touring in 2010, though he has played four shows in Las Vegas and more than a half-dozen festivals. His next concert appearance will be at the Farm Aid benefit show, set for Oct. 2 in Milwaukee.
