REO Speedwagon, Styx, Ted Nugent plot "Rock N' Roll Express"
REO Speedwagon, Styx and Ted Nugent will return to the U.S. tour trail this spring for the second edition of their "Midwest Rock N' Roll Express" trek.
The trio of classic-rock outfits will kick off the North American excursion with an April 18 stop in Grand Forks, ND, followed by concerts in 19 markets scattered across the continent. The current itinerary wraps up May 19 in Burgettstown, PA, although more dates will be announced soon, according to a press release.
Styx and REO Speedwagon will offer fan club members exclusive pre-sale access. More information can be found at their respective websites.
"When you live the ultimate American guitar player's dream, with the ultimate grinding band, performing the most intense fun songs in the world to the most enthusiastic audiences alive, every tour and every concert is an indescribable celebration," Ted Nugent said in a press release. "Styx and REO deserve me. Here we come again baby, like dogs in heat!"
It's been several years since any of the bands on the bill have released new material. REO Speedwagon unveiled "Find Your Own Way Home" in 2007, the same year Nugent unleashed "Love Grenade." "Big Bang Theory," Styx's most recent studio effort, surfaced in 2005.
