Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Limp Bizkit front Carolina Rebellion

Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and Limp Bizkit are among the heavyweights slated to take the stage at third annual Carolina Rebellion this spring.

The two-day rock festival, scheduled for May 4-5, will consume the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, NC. More than 30 bands will perform on three stages, as well as take a pitstop in a special artist tent to sign autographs and meet fans.

"After wrapping up our last U.S. tour, we were planning on recharging our batteries for awhile, but we couldn't pass up the opportunity to play with the mighty Soundgarden in what will be one of the only shows we'll play in the U.S. this year," Rise Against singer/guitarist Tim Mcllrath said in a press release.

General admission tickets, both single-day and weekend passes, go on sale Feb. 8 at the event's website. Those who sign up to receive the Rebellion newsletter at the event's Facebook page will gain access to a special two-day pre-sale that kicks off Feb. 6.

Discounted tickets will also be available for active military.
