Jim James plots trio of shows behind solo debut
My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James has unveiled the first three support dates behind his upcoming solo debut, "Regions of Light and Sound of God."
The Kentucky-based singer/songwriter will take to the stage Feb. 18 in Philadelphia, followed by a pair of headlining gigs in New York City..
James is also scheduled to perform Feb. 21 at the Tibet House Benefit Concert at New York City's Carnegie Hall.

"Regions of Light and Sound of God" will mark the first solo effort of James' career. He most recently released "Circuital," My Morning Jacket's sixth studio album, in 2011. That collection debuted at No. 5 on The Billboard 200.
Fans can take a listen to two streaming singles from the impending set -- "Know Til Now" and "A New Life" -- at James' website.
