Alt-rock trio The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion has tacked more European dates, as well as a handful of stateside shows, to its 2013 itinerary.

The New York City-based band returns to the road next weekend (1/13) in New York City, followed by club and theater shows in 13 major markets across the eastern U.S.

JSBX will then head across the pond for another round of European performances, beginning Feb. 7 in Barcelona, Spain.

The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion released "Meat and Bone" in September. The album follows their 2004 effort, "Damage," as well as the 2010 retrospective, "Dirty Shirt Rock 'n' Roll: The First Ten Years."
