Allman Brothers Band confirm Beacon Theatre run
The Allman Brothers Band will take on their annual residency at New York City's Beacon Theatre in March, performing 10 shows in just over two weeks' time.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees will perform in two-night pairs beginning March 1 and finishing up March 16. Another four dates follow in April: two at New York City's Madison Square Garden (4/12-4/13) and Live Oak, FL (4/19-4/20).
Tickets for the Beacon Theatre shows go on sale Jan. 11 via Ticketmaster.
"The Beacon run is always magical," frontman Gregg Allman said in a press release. "The room sounds great, lots of familiar faces and the band really stretches out. After Macon, New York is really our second home. There's just something about it, and our fans know it."
The Allman Brothers Band, currently comprised of Gregg Allman (vocals/keyboards), Butch Trucks (drums/tympani), Jaimoe (drums), Warren Haynes (vocals/guitar), Derek Trucks (guitar), Oteil Burbridge (bass) and Marc Quinones (congas/percussion), celebrated its 43rd anniversary last year. The iconic rockers first kicked off the Beacon Theatre residency in 1989 and have featured special guests Eric Clapton, Bob Weir, Taj Mahal, Buddy Guy and Dr. John, among others.
