Willie Nelson continues winter road trip

Willie Nelson has added more U.S. shows to his schedule, which now extends through the winter and into the late spring.
The Red-Headed Stranger will return to the stage for a two-night stand Dec. 30-31 in Austin, TX, before picking up the pace in mid-January, beginning with a Jan. 18 performance in Durham, NC. The current itinerary features 21 stops in the New Year, including a May 3 appearance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
Tickets for most dates are available now via Nelson's website.
The award-winning Nelson released his most recent studio effort, "Heroes," in mid-May via Legacy Records. The Buddy Cannon-produced album contains classic country songs, along with new songs written by Nelson and his son, Lukas. The set features guest musicians Merle Haggard, Sheryl Crow, Billy Joe Shaver, Jamey Johnson, Ray Price and Snoop Dogg, among others.
The latest release marks the first album of Nelson's new long-term deal with Sony Music, which currently owns Columbia Records, Nelson's label for 20 years of his early career.
