Jimmy Buffett lands pair of Florida gigs
Jimmy Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band will tackle a couple of Florida dates early in the New Year.
The "Margaritaville" magnate and his backing band will hit the stage Feb. 5 in Pensacola and Feb. 7 in Jacksonville. Tickets for both performances are available via Ticketmaster.
Buffett's most recent studio set, "Buffet Hotel," surfaced in late 2009 via his own Mailboat Records. The 12-track album peaked at No. 17 on The Billboard 200 and at the top of the magazine's Top Independent Albums chart. The musician also released his latest live collection, "Volcano - Live 2011," via iTunes in September 2011.
On the philanthropic front, Buffett's namesake Land Shark Lager partnered with Ocean Conservancy and Clean Ocean Action for a post-Hurricane Sandy beach cleanup in Wantagh, NY, Dec. 8.
