Sevendust prepare for "Black Out the Sun"

Alt-metal act Sevendust will spend February on the U.S. tour trail ahead of an impending new studio effort, "Black Out the Sun."
The Georgia outfit will co-headline the trek with Lacuna Coil, beginning with a Feb. 2 performance in Winston-Salem, NC, and extending through a Feb. 23 show in Cedar Rapids, IA. The 17-city outing focuses on the eastern portion of the nation, though more dates will be revealed in the coming weeks, according to a press release.
Ticketing information is available now at the band's website.
Sevendust will unveil "Black Out the Sun," the group's ninth studio album, March 26 on their own 7Bros. Records. The rock quintet -- comprised of frontman Lajon Witherspoon, drummer Morgan Rose, guitarist Clint Lowery, bassist Vince Hornsby and guitarist John Connolly -- self-produced and recorded the collection at The Architekt Studio in Butler, NJ.
The spring release marks Sevendust's latest drop since 2010's "Cold Day Memory," which debuted at No. 12 on The Billboard 200 and marked the band's highest career debut.
