Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter and guitarist Marshall Crenshaw has confirmed a handful of winter shows along the East Coast, along with an EP subscription-only service of new music.

The Michigan native will take to the road around year's end, beginning with a Dec. 29 performance in Cambridge, MA, and continues Jan. 3 in New York City. Three more January dates scattered along the East Coast are also on the books.

With the help of Kickstarter, Crenshaw raised more than $33,000 for his brand-new subscription series, providing fans with a steady stream of new music via three-song vinyl EPs.

"I've always put a great deal of care into the albums I've made," Crenshaw said in a press release. "But as a listener, I've always been a singles guy and an individual-tracks guy. I'm looking forward to creating a steady output of music in small batches, rather than being stuck in a cave for months and stockpiling a whole bunch of music and dumping it out all at once. Now, when I finish something, I get to put it out, instead of having to wait until I've got 12 more."

Fans who subscribe will recieve the six 10-inch 45 RPM vinyl discs over the next two years, according to a press release, as well as a download card for digital versions of the tracks. The debut EP, "I Don't See You Laughing Now," will surface for subscribers and at brick-and-mortar retailers on Black Friday (11/23), though it won't be available online until Jan. 22.
