Snoop readies for "Reincarnated" winter theater trek
Snoop Dogg, whose stage name is currently Snoop Lion, will drum up support for his impending new reggae album, "Reincarnated," with a quick winter run.
The California rapper will kick off the West Coast journey with a Dec. 9 performance in Ventura, CA, followed by another 11 major market stops.
Snoop is also slated to ring in the New Year (12/31) in Dubai, UAE.
Tickets for the domestic outing are on sale now at the performer's website.
Originally scheduled to surface a few months ago, "Reincarnated" will now hit retailers after the New Year, according to published reports, though no specific date is set.
Earlier this year, Snoop spent more than a month in Jamaica, studying reggae legend Bob Marley and recording his reggae debut in a local studio. The effort's lead single, "La La La," produced by Major Lazer, surfaced in July.
A documentary featuring footage from the performer's Jamaican experience debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
