Aerosmith focuses on new album push
Before taking on the second "Global Warming Tour" leg, Aerosmith will embark on a media blitz ahead of the Nov. 6 release of their brand new studio set, "Music From Another Dimension!"
The Boston rockers will tackle several on-air performances, including last night's gig (11/1) on "The Late Show With David Letterman, as well as today's (11/2) appearances on "The Today Show," "The View" (11/2) and a SiriusXM Town Hall event in front of a live studio audience in New York City.
Aerosmith has also announced that they will host a street party in their hometown of Boston Nov. 5. The location will be announced that morning, according to a press release, so keep an eye on their website.
"Music From Another Dimension," Aerosmith's 15th studio set, hits retailers Tuesday (11/6) via Columbia Records. The album, which was recorded in Los Angeles and at the band's Massachusetts studio, marks the band's first collection of all-new material in 11 years. The first two singles, "What Could Have Been Love" and "Lover A Lot," are already on airwaves nationwide. Another track on the effort, "Freedom Fighter," features guest vocals from actor/musician Johnny Depp.
Aerosmith will kick off the second leg of "The Global Warming Tour" Nov. 8 in Oklahoma City, OK. The 14-city push crisscrosses the nation before the Dec. 13 conclusion in Nashville, TN.
