Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Sting and Christina Aguilera will perform in a fundraising telethon Friday (11/2) on NBC and several cable networks.

"Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together" will be hosted by "Today Show" co-host Matt Lauer and will also feature talk show host/comedian Jimmy Fallon and Brian Williams, the anchor of "NBC Nightly News." Money raised will benefit the the relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.

The commercial-free hour-long program will be broadcast on NBC stations nationwide Friday (11/2) at 8 p.m. EST. and on a tape delay for the West Coast, according to a press release. The event will also be shown simultaneously on several cable channels, including Bravo, CNBC, E!, G4, MSNBC, Style, Syfy and USA, and will stream live on the NBC website.

NBC organized a similar event following Hurricane Katrina in 2005. That "Shelter From the Storm" telethon, also hosted by Lauer, raised $50 million for the Red Cross.
