Iconic rock-club chain House of Blues will commemorate 20 years and 20,000 performances with a 20-month celebration that kicks off with ZZ Top before year's end.

The Texas-based Rock and Roll Hall of Famers will perform at the official anniversary party, slated for Dec. 4 at the House of Blues on L.A.'s Sunset Strip. Citi cardmembers can access presale tickets beginning Wednesday (10/17), while public on-sales get underway Saturday (10/20).

More plans are in the works for the 38 clubs scattered across the nation, including HOB tours featuring bands like Flogging Molly, according to a press release. More information about other events will be posted at the chain's website.

For every ticket sold during the 20-month period, $1 will go to the chain's Action For The Arts program, which promotes cultural understanding and encourages creative expression in communities across the U.S.

The live music venues are also preparing to serve 20,000 Thanksgiving meals to the needy nationwide in honor of the anniversary.

The first House of Blues opened its doors in 1992 in Cambridge, MA's Harvard Square by Hard Rock Cafe co-founder Isaac Tigrett and actor/comedian Dan Aykroyd. Dozens of legendary performances have taken place since the chain's inception, with the roster including Eric Clapton, Elton John, Aretha Franklin, Mary J. Blige, Foo Fighters, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake and Tupac, among others.
