Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience to canvas North America
Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience will commemorate the life and music of his father, Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, this fall with a tribute tour of North America.
The younger Bonham -- himself a well-known drummer -- will kick off the 29-date outing with an Oct. 8 concert in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. The road trip, which a press release says will feature a state-of-the-art sound system and light show, touches down in major markets across the continent through late November. More dates will be added in the coming weeks, according to a press release.
The musicians who'll be joining Bonham haven't been announced.
Tickets for the first round of shows go on sale Friday (8/20) via Ticketmaster.
Bonham and his crew will perform Zeppelin favorites at each stop, while giant screens display art, video footage and photos throughout the set. Annerin Productions, the company behind "The Pink Floyd Experience" and "Rain, A Tribute to the Beatles," have teamed up with Bonham for the run.
"I can't wait," Bonham said in a press release. "I'm sure it will be an emotional night, especially the first time we do it in front of an audience, but it's a commemoration of Dad's life and my life with the music and the company of Led Zeppelin."
Bonham, who filled his father's shoes for 2007's Led Zeppelin reunion show in London, has also performed with former Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page and Foreigner, among other acts.
