Nas, Lauryn Hill team up for "Life Is Good/Black Rage" outing
Brooklyn-based rapper Nas and former Fugees frontwoman Lauryn Hill will join forces next month for a co-headlining trek, dubbed the "Life Is Good/Black Rage Tour."
Nas will take on a handful of festival and fair appearances before the two musicians kick off their joint run Oct. 29 in Dallas. Another nine co-headlining performances spread across the continent follow, wrapping up Nov. 19 in Oakland, CA. Nas finishes up his portion of headlining gigs with a New Year's Eve (12/31) performance in New York City.
Nas unveiled his 11th studio album, "Life Is Good," hit shelves in July via Def Jam Records. The effort debuted at the top of The Billboard 200 and peaked at No. 1 on the magazine's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums charts.
Hill's one and only solo studio set, "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill," surfaced in 1998 and has received multi-platinum certification in the U.S. and four other countries. The singer/actress will release a new single, "Black Rage," this fall, according to her website. The song discusses the effects of racial inequality and abuse.
