Green Day add Best Coast as support for "Uno!, Dos!, Tre! Tour"
Green Day has announced the addition of surf-pop outfit Best Coast to their North American run behind their impending release of three new studio albums: "Uno!," "Dos!" and "Tre!."
Though Green Day will begin off their official outing Nov. 26 in Seattle, Best Coast won't provide opening support until the Jan. 8 performance in Rosemont, IL. The two bands will then finish out the remaining 20 shows together, concluding Feb. 8 in Las Vegas.
Green Day will release the first studio set of the trilogy, "Green Day Uno!," Tuesday (9/25) via Reprise Records. The next two, "Green Day Dos!" and "Green Day Tre!," hit retailers Nov. 13 and Jan. 15 respectively.
The trio of albums, co-produced by Green Day and Rob Cavallo, follows the outfit's Grammy-winning "21st Century Breakdown," which surfaced in 2009.
Los Angeles-based Best Coast, comprised of singer/guitarist Bethany Cosentino and multi-instrumentalist Bobb Bruno, unveiled its sophomore set "The Only Place" in May.
