X fill out 2012 with coastal shows

L.A. punk-rockers X have added another round of major market shows to their 2012 itinerary, including stops on both coasts.
The iconic band, which spent much of the spring and early summer on a worldwide tour, will return to the stage Nov. 2 with an appearance at Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, TX, where the band will perform their 1980 debut "Los Angeles" in its entirety.
The roadwork gets more concentrated at the end of that month, when the outfit heads to the East Coast for six performances before venturing west, rounding out the schedule with a two-night stand Dec. 28-29 in San Francisco.
The punk crew, comprised of singer Exene Cervenka, singer/bassist John Doe, guitarist Billy Zoom and drummer DJ Bonebrake, are celebrating their 35th year together. The band's seventh and final studio set, "Hey Zeus!," surfaced in 1993, though the musicians have released two live albums, two compilation sets and a two-song holiday EP in recent years.
