Grimes continues supporting "Visions" with major market trek
Grimes, the stage name of Canadian musician Claire Boucher, has added another leg of North American shows in support of her third studio effort, "Visions."
The late summer/fall outing kicks off Sept. 20 in Montreal and hits major markets from one coast to another through late October. Grimes will perform a trio of two-night stands while on the road: Sept. 21-22 in Toronto, Oct. 9-10 in Los Angeles and Oct. 26-27 in New York City.
Boucher released "Visions," the third studio set under the Grimes moniker, in February via 4AD/Arbutus Records. The 13-track album, which follows last year's "Darkbloom," peaked at No. 8 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
The official video for the lead single, "Genesis," is currently streaming via Grimes' website.
Grimes has been nominated for this year's Polaris Music Prize, which is awarded to a full-length Canadian album based on artistic merit. The Vancouver native is up against nine other Canadians, including Feist, Drake and Kathleen Edwards.
