Green Day participates in Nokia Music launch, readies for trilogy release

Green Day will help celebrate the launch of Nokia's new music streaming service, adding the New York City concert to the band's previously announced two-festival itinerary.
The California punk-rockers will perform an exclusive show Sept. 15 at New York City's Irving Plaza to kick off the launch of Nokia Music, a free music streaming service available to owners of the Nokia Lumia handset, which is available through AT&T. More than 150 playlists are available, including ones curated by Green Day.
Fans can enter to win free tickets to the launch party via Green Day's Facebook page.
Green Day will also make appearances as the iHeartRadio Music Festival, slated for Sept. 21 in Las Vegas, as well as New Orleans' Voodoo Music Experience, which takes place Oct. 27.
The band is also scheduled to perform a June 2013 show in London; tickets for that international gig go on sale Sept. 28 at the outfit's website.
Green Day are preparing to release a trio of albums before year's end: "Uno!," "Dos!" and "Tre!," which surface Sept. 25, Nov. 13 and Jan. 15, respectively.
The band performed "Let Yourself Go," the first single from the impending trilogy, last week (9/6) at the MTV Video Music Awards.
