Wiz Khalifa promotes forthcoming album with "2050 Tour"
Grammy-nominated rapper Wiz Khalifa is preparing to launch the North American portion of his "2050 Tour," which will take him from coast to coast with the Taylor Gang.
The Pittsburgh-based singer, songwriter and actor will kick off the fall outing with an Oct. 12 stop in State College, PA, before moving along the East Coast and into Canada. So far, the North American schedule includes 35 arena and stadium shows before the current conclusion Dec. 6 in Fairfax, VA. More dates will be announced next week, according to a press release.
Taylor Gang members Juicy J, Chevy Woods, Lola Monroe, Tuki Carter and Berner will also participate in the tour. Fans can purchase tickets for this round of dates now via Khalifa's website.
Khalifa released "Work Hard, Play Hard," the first single off his impending sophomore set "O.N.I.F.C." in April. The track has already reached platinum certification with more than one million copies sold.
Originally scheduled for a Sept. 18 release, "O.N.I.F.C."-- the follow-up to Khalifa's 2011 debut, "Rolling Papers" -- has been pushed back to an unspecified drop date.
