Eric Johnson adds more "Up Close" shows to 2012 schedule
Guitarist Eric Johnson will take to the road this fall for a round of U.S. shows behind "Up Close," which surfaced in 2010.
The Austin, TX, native will begin the trek Sept. 20 in Tarrytown, NY, and work his way along the East Coast before moving inland for a handful of dates. The 13-city outing, which includes a two-night stand Sept. 24-25 in New York City, currently wraps up Oct. 7 in Dallas..
Johnson released his most recent effort, "Up Close," in December 2010. The 15-track album marks the artist's sixth studio set and first since 2005's "Bloom." Special guests Sonny Landreth, Steve Miller, Jonny Lang and Jimmie Vaughan are also featured on the effort.
Johnson released his solo debut, "Seven Worlds," in 1978, and re-issued the set again in 1998.
