Avicii plots another pass through North America
Swedish DJ Avicii will return to North America this next month for an electronic dance-music trek that features a mixture of club and festival appearances.
The Grammy-winning DJ, born Tim Bergling, will first complete a handful of European gigs before kicking off the North American itinerary Aug. 31 in Las Vegas. Avicii's stateside tour contains 16 stops, including a two-night stand Sept. 14-15 in Santa Monica, CA, and the first-ever EDM concert Sept. 27 at New York City's Radio City Music Hall.
Avicii, who ranked at No. 6 on DJ Magazine's Top 100 DJs of 2011 list, most recently revealed the single "Silhouettes," the video for which is currently streaming at the performer's website.
Earlier this year, the 22-year-old DJ headlined the Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Lollapalooza and performed at Coachella.
