Though tickets remain free, festivalgoers are encouraged to donate to The RE*Generation, Virgin Mobile's drive to end youth homelessness. Funds raised will go toward the company's new "RE*Generation House," a homeless youth shelter, according to a press release.
A limited number of "Freemium packages" will also be available for the festival. These include early admission to the grounds, a FreeFest t-shirt and a souvenir cup that allows for free fountain drinks throughout the festival. Freemium tickets will also be available via Ticketfly.
Last year's Virgin Mobile FreeFest boasted approximately 50,000 fans who came to catch sets by The Black Keys, Deadmau5, Cee Lo Green, TV on the Radio, Patti Smith and Cut Copy, among others.
