12 Stones show "Scars" during U.S. tour
The Louisiana hard rock quartet 12 Stones is continuing a busy summer of touring, and will remain on the road into the fall.
The Christian group -- is vocalist/guitarist Paul McCoy, drummer Aaron Gainer, guitarist Eric Weaver and bassist Will Reed. McCoy -- is best known for providing the male vocals to Evanescence's Grammy-winning song "Bring Me to Life."
"It's exciting to get back out on the road and do what we love -- especially with the new stuff and the record being slightly different than our other records," McCoy told SoundSpike in an interview earlier this year. "Now, we have four full-lengths and an EP's worth of material to pull from for our live shows. So it really opens the door for us to be able to play with just about anyone. We can play the slow ballady shows or we can play the in-your-face screaming metal. There's a little bit of diversity between the albums now."
Selling more than 2 million records total, 12 Stones is currently pushing its fourth studio album, "Beneath the Scars." It's the band's first for the Executive Music Group. Roadwork behind the collection, which debuted at The Billboard 200 album chart and No. 1 on the Billboard Christian rock chart, will continue for the rest of 2012 and into 2013. "Beneath the Scars" has also spawned two charting active rock hits with "Bulletproof" and "Infected."
