Tegan and Sara schedule West Coast gigs
Canadian indie-rockers Tegan and Sara have added a handful of headlining performances to their fall schedule supporting The Black Keys.
The twin-sister act will get started Sept. 23 in Vancouver before heading south along the West Coast through that month's end. The duo will then join forces with The Black Keys beginning Oct. 1 in Fresno, CA, for a round of seven opening shows. The pair's itinerary wraps up in mid-October with appearances at the Austin City Limits Music Festival (10/12) and Mexico City's Corona Capital Music Festival (10/14).
Tegan and Sara most recently released "Sainthood" in 2009. The sisters have been finished up its follow-up, which is rumored to be unveiled sometime this year, though no official release date has been announced.
The duo chronicled the recording process with "The Carpool Confessional." The final episode of the video diary series is currently streaming at the outfit's website.
