Philip Anselmo readies for "Technicians of Distortion" club run

Pantera frontman Philip Anselmo has mapped his first solo tour, "Technicians of Distortion," which will also feature his backing band, The Illegals.
Anselmo will begin the solo trek with a July 31 show in Tulsa, OK, and visit clubs in 14 other major markets across North America. The month-long outing will make two Canadian stops--Aug. 10 in Toronto and Aug. 11 in Montreal -- before the Aug. 20 conclusion in Atlanta. One more date will be announced soon, according to a press release.
All shows will feature opening support by Warbeast.
Anselmo will unleash his solo debut, "Walk Through Exits Only," July 16 via Housecore/Megaforce Records. He also continues fronting New Orleans-based Down, which he formed in 1991.
