Trans-Siberian Orchestra debuts "Lost Christmas Eve" rock opera
Trans-Siberian Orchestra will spend six weeks of the holiday season on a voracious tour of North America behind 2004's "The Lost Christmas Eve."
For the first time ever and with the help of the Hallmark Channel, TSO will bring the multi-platinum rock opera "The Lost Christmas Eve" to fans from coast to coast, working two routes simultaneously. One group of musicians will begin Nov. 15 in Peoria, IL, while another will get started the same day in Council Bluffs, IA. The 59-city trek, which includes several stops with two performances each, wraps up Dec. 30 in Columbus, OH, and Milwaukee, WI.
Fan club members can begin purchasing tickets Sept. 5 at the group's website, while general on-sales get underway Sept. 14.
"The Lost Christmas Eve," TSO's third Christmas effort of a trilogy, surfaced in 2004. The prog-rock outfit will perform the entirety of the 23-song album, which tells the story of loss and redemption in New York City through R&B, rock, classical, folk and Broadway elements, according to a press release.
The holiday shows will also feature music from Trans-Siberian Orchestra's brand-new fall release, "Dreams of Fireflies (On a Christmas Night)." No word yet on the exact drop date for that set.
